Position Summary:

Materials Coordinator at TH Foods Inc. will organize, maintain, and monitor usage of non- production related material for the site. The Materials Coordinator is an individual contributor with strong organizational and analytical skills. The Materials Coordinator contributes to the business objectives of each department’s productivity by ensuring the right type, quality, and quantities of materials are available when needed. The Materials Coordinator contributes to overall company profitability by assuring non-production related material management is accurate and fulfills internal customer’s needs.

 

Essential Duties and Requirements include the following:

  • Ensure right non-production related materials and quantities are available when needed in support of plant operations and maintenance. Supports new equipment purchases by insuring required spares are procured and integrated into inventory management system.
  • Maintain and improve the organization and management of non-production related materials using inventory management systems and other software tools.
  • Communicates internally and externally with vendors, suppliers, corporate, and peers. Establish lead times for materials for integration into planning activities.
  • Assist with annual budget development and tracking of materials cost against budget.
  • Identify and cost out obsolete materials for disposal.
  • Utilize various computer software packages including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) MP2, & BME to communicate, compile and create various reports.
  • Maintain SDS and chemical inventory
  • Performs cycle counts, monthly and annual physical inventory.
  • Perform GMP, Safety, and Regulatory audits as assigned.
  • Assist in developing plans and assisting execution of immediate and permanent corrective actions related to regulatory, safety, environmental, and plant equipment reliability.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Initiate Purchase Requisitions for Materials, Equipment and Services
  • Perform Receipt Verification of Equipment and Parts
  • Kitting jobs per the weekend and 7 day maintenance work plans
  • Oversee “Red Tag” process. Scheduling internal and external activities

  • Experience with identifying, purchasing and receiving non-production materials..
  • Experience with inventory control methodologies and techniques.
  • Prefer previous experience in the Repair and Maintenance of production/packaging machinery and parts.
  • Prefer experience in Inventory Management using CMMS systems.
  • Prefer experience with Maintenance Budget Planning and Administration.
  • Prefer experience with Inventory and Cost Management.

Education and/or Experience

2-5years experience in a materials management role

Education and/or training in business practices
