Position Summary: The Certified Payroll Analyst is responsible for all payroll-related processes across TH Foods’ locations and should execute all tasks with a spirit of professionalism and confidentiality at all times, as per the sensitive nature of the information involved.

 

Essential Duties and Requirements include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Maintain control of payroll records and personnel related matters with strict confidentiality regarding all sensitive information;
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation, input, analysis and processing of weekly multi-state payroll data using ADP eTime and ADP payroll systems.
  • Maintain an advanced understanding of ADP eTime time and attendance system, and the DOL, FLSA, ADA, and policy regulations that drive it.
  • Ensure systems are set-up and updated to reflect current employee base, including wages, benefits, and vacation time in line with our policies.
  • Partner with HR to ensure accurate processing of benefits related deductions and similar payroll related HR transactions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations and other similar responsibilities.
  • Process garnishments and court ordered deductions in compliance with all federal, state and local laws.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, biweekly, quarterly and year-end reports as needed.
  • Partner with ADP eTime users to ensure full understand of the data and how to get meaningful and effective reporting to support business actions
  • Stay current on payroll systems to achieve alignment with all departments.
  • Train all Supervisors and Managers on how to use ADP eTime to ensure all time is accurate.
  • Prepare federal, state and local quarterly and year end employment tax filings.
  • Communicate actively with accounting and HR to review cross departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing.
  • Responsible for recognizing and reporting food safety and employee safety issues.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Human Resources Required. CPP certification required.  5-10 years of experience processing a computerized payroll.  Must have an understanding of Federal and State payroll tax laws.  Human Resources skills due to the sensitive nature of payroll.  Ability to operate a computer for the processing of payroll, advanced word processing and excel spreadsheet/database.

 

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable responsibilities.  Ability to communicate well with vendors, employees, and contract employees.       Excellent ability to communicate both written and verbally.
